Simply this is a blog were I will post photographs taken using homebuilt lenses, Cameras, tech, and experiments with developers. I am dyslexic so Spelling is kinda out of the window but this is all just about photography and image making. The blog is inline with my Instagram 😼@Yvesleather 😈😎
The first post is relating to Developer SUPROL.
KENTMERE 400 exp 2019
in the data instructions, the mix ratio is either 1+19 for film or 1+9 for paper. as i do not have access to 20 ltr can for the developer. I have decided to mix it to a 0.6+1.8 ratio.
That being calculating the correct ratio by dividing the original 1+19 for film by 4 with leaves me with 62.5 ml to 1.855 Ltr (UK).
The times aren't available via the Digital Truth site so, I've decided to go off Ilford Films and Kodak Film times available on the site.
The First film I have tested in Kentmere 400, the closest film on the site avlible is Ilford HP5 @ ISO 400 which is 3.75 mins. I needed to add time to the stated time. so I calculated ONE STOP = 0.75 secs. and using the orignial ratios' division. Timed the 0.75 stop by 4 leaving 2.25 mins. - This is to compensate for the divided ratio of 0.6 + 1.8. - this leaves me with 3.75 mins + 2.25 mins = 5.5mins.
And that was my first test, 30 secs agitate and inversion ever 10 secs for each min.

For the next test I decided to add another quarter stop of 15 secs. bringing the total time to 6.05 mins.

They are nicer, more contrast, however more grainy. I'll have to work on this with the next film.
FOMAPAN 100
I have a few different times that I can try with this one, as the site doesn't have Fomapan down within its Suprol sheet. *HOWEVER I THINK MOST OF THESE WON 'T BE ON THERE* hahaha...
So Sticking to our Ilford time range, will use the Ilford Delta 100 Pro times for the fomapan and tweek the times after the first test. (As I have 3 full films to develop)
Ilford Delta 100 Pro @ 20.c @ Iso 100 @ 1+19 is 2.75 mins.
Using our 4 added stops of 0.75 sec = 2.25 mins we'll add that and hopefully be given a correct time.
5 mins is a good starting point..
* Also to add as this is a low ISO film I have decided to lower agitation to 10 secs ever 2 mins to decrease graininess.

From the negatives I can see there is a distinct lack of contrast so I'm suggesting an increase of time of a half of 30 secs to start. As with the Kentmere before I can see very specific washout of the film.
